Special Charity Breakfast Meeting in aid of UNITE Carers - 25th June

13/06/2014 - Category: Mid-Devon-Network-

Members of the Mid Devon Network, John Ridd and his wife Hazel, will be hosting a special charity breakfast meeting on 25th June at their Devon farm.

The meeting will replace the group’s usual fortnightly breakfast meeting at Bickleigh Mill. As usual members will pay £10 for breakfast, but all funds will be donated to nominated charity UNITE Carers in Mid Devon, whose representative, Roy Grantham, presented at our last breakfast meeting at Bickleigh on the great work that they do.

The couple have worked hard to source donations for the breakfast food from supplier contacts:

  • Sausages and Bacon to be provided by Lloyd Maunder at Halberton farm shop;
  • Eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and bread from the Halberton farm shop;
  • Coffee and milk from Reapers, Bampton Street, Tiverton

UNITE Carers in Mid Devon is a charitable company, limited by guarantee, set up in 2004 to support unpaid Carers. The aim of the charity is to provide support, information and activities for the benefit of unpaid Carers of any age, who look after someone who depends on them.

UNITE Carers also provide support and help for those caring for people with memory problems and dementia. Providing a comfortable environment for people with such problems, and their carers, to enjoy a social afternoon together and allow informal discussion with others in similar positions.

Those interested in attending the breakfast should contact Richard Pym on richard_pym@nfumutual.co.uk to confirm attendance.
